Robert Glier Jr Violin
Robert Glier, Jr. moved from Germany where he learned the trade from his father and located in Cincinnati, Ohio. This Robert Glier Jr Violin has exceptional wood and is quite beautiful. It appears to be modeled after Amati with fuller, graceful arching. There are some minor scratches from age and use. There are two short repaired top cracks on each side of the neck – both have been properly cleated. The sound is powerful and mature. Fresh set up with new Dominant strings, bridge and sound post, and new chin rest. This violin is a delight to play and the sound is really quite impressive and will continue to improve with play.
