Thomas James Holder Violin – Sold

Thomas James Holder violin. Born in Cardiff, England. His father (and teacher) was Thomas Jacques. Both were famous for their fine copies of older Italian instruments. The son moved to Paris in 1913 where this violin was made in 1923. No 330, fire branded inside on back and top TJ Holder. Back measures 356 mm. No cracks. A couple of corners appear to have been repaired on the tips. Expert, precise craftsmanship.
