Paul Blanchard violin
This Paul Blanchard violin was made in 1901. A beautiful instrument with transparent reddish varnish over a golden ground. Two small repaired table cracks. Violin has a strong bold tone and is freshly set up with new Dominant strings.

Henley: Born at Mirecourt 1851. Grandson of Francois. Apprenticed to Auguste Dart, 1865, who taught him the Vuillaume principles. Worked for Daniel at Marseilles, and for Silvestre at Lyons. Established own workshop, 1870. Received medals at various French Exhibitions since 1889. Died 1912.
